Project spotlight: turnstile access control
Transit recently replaced the automatic turnstiles at a university campus in Abu Dhabi as part of a lifecycle upgrade. The new CAME glass-wing lanes with contactless card readers control pedestrian entry so that only authorised people pass, with every entry recorded.
Turnstiles are one of the most effective ways to manage high-footfall entrances: they prevent tailgating, work with cards or other credentials, and feed entry data into the wider access control system for reporting and audits.
Our scope on projects like this covers design, installation, integration with the access control platform, testing and ongoing support.
