The black hole .

Ever heard of Kinetic art ?

This image is of an art installation titled The Unseen by Saudi artist Muhannad Shono, displayed at the Louvre Abu Dhabi that I took last year . This art work uses thousands of black, unwound magnetic tapes to create an immersive, dark space creating a powerful optical illusion, where the tapes appear as light rays converging into a black hole or vortex that plays on the subconscious mind

Rain of Light

I was fortunate enough to visit the breathtaking Louvre Abu Dhabi last year, designed by renowned French architect Ateliers Jean Nouvel, boasting an impressive 180-meter geometric dome that produces a mesmerizing rain-of-light effect, evoking the image of sunlight shining through palm leaves, with its complex layers of steel and aluminum.

The Dome (‘Rain of Light’): This iconic dome is made up of 85,000 perforated stainless steel and aluminum stars, inspired by palm leaves, and features 7,850 star-shaped perforations across eight layers, creating an intricate geometric pattern that filters sunlight into the museum below, casting dappled light and creating a peaceful ambiance.

In the Northern Cape, a quiver tree stands tall amidst pink daisies, with the Milky Way busy setting in the sky. I shot the foreground during blue hour to add depth. The second tab is a timelapse of the Milky Way’s rotation, a response to flat Earth theories.
