As filmmakers, we remove shots that don’t belong anymore, even if we love them.

Maybe life works the same way.

Not everything you once chose needs to stay in the final cut.

Sometimes, you just have to remove what no longer belongs…

More than 2000 kilometers by road, chasing the one place in the Gulf that actually turns green.

No flights. No shortcuts. Just hours of desert turning into mountains, mountains turning into waterfalls, and me pulling over every twenty minutes because the light wouldn’t wait.

This is what a road trip looks like through a filmmaker’s lens, the drive and not just the destination.

Maybe the coffee isn’t taking too long. Maybe it’s being made properly. ☕️

Editing is pretty much the same.

You can throw clips on a timeline, slap on a transition, add some music and call it a day.

Or you can sit with it.

Find the right cut.
Let the music breathe.
Fix the colour.
Kill the shots that don’t belong.
Watch it again. And again.

Because the best edits aren’t always the fastest ones.

Sometimes, you just have to let the process take its time.

Good coffee. Good films.
Same rule: don’t rush the craft. 🎬
