Austria is so much more than Hallstatt. 🇦🇹⛰️

Hi, I’m Sibel – an outdoor & travel photographer based in Austria, sharing hiking routes, hidden gems and photo spots to help you discover places beyond the typical tourist trail. ✨

If you’re planning a trip to Austria, these are 9 places worth adding to your itinerary 👇

📍 1. Gosausee
One of Austria’s most beautiful alpine lakes, with an incredible view of the Dachstein. The easy loop around the lake takes about 1–1.5 hours. Go early for calm water and fewer crowds.

📍 2. Plansee
Turquoise water surrounded by mountains in Tyrol. Perfect for swimming, SUP, hiking or simply stopping during a roadtrip. One of my favourite lakes to photograph from above.

📍 3. Giglachseen
Two stunning alpine lakes in the Schladming mountains. You can reach them on a beautiful hike from Ursprungalm – and there are several options to extend the route if you want a longer mountain day.

📍 4. Fuschlsee
Crystal-clear water just outside Salzburg. Walk around the lake, rent a SUP or boat, go swimming or combine your visit with one of the surrounding viewpoints.

📍 5. Sölktal
One of Styria’s quieter mountain regions and perfect if you want to escape the crowds. Think alpine valleys, waterfalls, mountain lakes and endless hiking opportunities.

📍 6. Holzgau Suspension Bridge
A spectacular suspension bridge high above the Höhenbach Gorge in Tyrol. Combine it with a walk through Holzgau instead of visiting only for the bridge.

📍 7. Grimming
One of the most distinctive mountains in Styria. You don’t even have to climb it – some of the best views are from the Ennstal and around Donnersbach.

📍 8. Moaralmsee
A gorgeous turquoise mountain lake near Haus im Ennstal. The hike through alpine scenery is just as beautiful as the lake itself.

📍 9. Obersulzbachkees Glacier
Wild, dramatic and completely different from Austria’s famous lakes. The glacier landscape in Hohe Tauern National Park shows just how diverse Austria really is.

The Scotland nobody shows you. 🏴✨

After exploring Scotland for weeks, these are five places I’d recommend to anyone planning a roadtrip.

Hi, I’m Sibel – a travel & outdoor photographer sharing hidden gems, roadtrip routes and photo spots to help you experience destinations beyond the typical tourist guide. ✨

Scotland is full of famous places.

But some of my favourite memories came from the ones I’d never heard of before.

Here are five places you shouldn’t miss 👇

📍 Ornsay Lighthouse
One of Scotland’s most photogenic lighthouses, overlooking the Isle of Skye. Visit around sunset for beautiful reflections and peaceful coastal views.

📍 Duart Castle
A 13th-century castle perched on a cliff overlooking the Sound of Mull. Rich in history and one of the best viewpoints on the island.

📍 Castle Stalker
One of Scotland’s most iconic castles, standing alone on a tiny tidal island. A dream location for photographers, especially during golden hour.

📍 Lunga, Treshnish Isles
One of the best places in Europe to see puffins up close. Between May and July, you can watch hundreds of them nesting just a few metres away.

📍 Tobermory
The colourful harbour town on the Isle of Mull. Full of charming cafés, colourful houses and the perfect place to slow down during your roadtrip.

⸻

💡 Things to know before you go:

🚗 A roadtrip is the best way to explore Scotland.

⛴️ Ferries are required for some of these places, so it’s worth booking them in advance during summer.

🌦️ Be prepared for changing weather. You might experience all four seasons in one day.

📸 Early mornings and evenings usually offer the best light and the fewest crowds.

⸻

The best places aren’t always the most famous.

Sometimes they’re the ones you’ve never heard of until you take the road less travelled. 🤍

The ULTIMATE list for visiting Andalusia 🇪🇸

If you love dramatic cliffs, white villages, secret caves and golden sunsets — this is your sign.

Here’s your mini guide to the most scenic spots around the Costa del Sol:

📍 Cueva del Tesoro (Rincón de la Victoria)
One of the very few marine-origin caves in Europe. Super easy access and perfect for a quick stop near Málaga.

📍 Moclinejo & local wineries
A quiet white village with insane coastal views. Pair it with a wine tasting — Andalusian sun + local vino = perfection.

📍 Torremolinos & Marbella
Palm trees, beach promenades, golden hour vibes and Mediterranean lifestyle.

📍 Montejaque & Cueva del Gato
Turquoise natural pool inside a cave.
⚠️ Water is freezing but stunning.
Best visited early morning.

📍 Acinipo (Ronda’s hidden Roman theatre)
Less crowded than Ronda, but with epic views and ancient ruins.

📍 Ronda
The dramatic Puente Nuevo bridge over El Tajo gorge. Go for sunset. Trust me.

📍 El Caminito del Rey
Once the most dangerous path in the world — now secured.
Book tickets in advance. Totally worth it.

📍 Antequera
Historic town with fortress views and hidden Andalusian charm.

📍 Torcal de Antequera
Alien-like rock formations.
Best at sunrise or sunset for shadows + texture.

📍 Málaga
Perfect mix of culture, food & city energy.
Visit the Alcazaba + enjoy tapas in the old town.

📍 Setenil de las Bodegas
Houses built directly into the rocks. One of the most unique villages in Spain.

This region gives you:
✔ dramatic nature
✔ white villages
✔ history
✔ beaches
✔ adventure
✔ hidden gems

Save this for your future Spain trip 🇪🇸✨

This Amalfi Coast itinerary will save you
HOURS of planning 🇮🇹✨

Hi, I’m Sibel and I love sharing travel tips that actually help - from hidden gems and photo spots to simple ways to experience a place in a more special way. Follow along for more

The internet is full of Amalfi Coast guides... but most of them aren’t realistic.

Too much driving, too many stops, too little time to actually enjoy it.
So here’s a simple and realistic Amalfi Coast route that actually makes sense

Day 1: SORRENTO
📍Your perfect starting point
- Easy to reach from Naples
- Beautiful views over the coast
- Cute old town & sunset spots

Day 2: POSITANO
📍The iconic one (yes, it’s worth it)
- Explore early morning or late evening
- Best views from above the town
- Get lost in the small streets

Day 3: FIORDO DI FURORE
📍One of the most underrated spots
- Small hidden beach between cliffs
- Best seen from above + down at the water

Day 4: AMALFI & ATRANI
📍9 Two places, one day
- Amalfi = lively, historic, famous cathedral
- Atrani = quiet, authentic & just a few minutes away

Day 5: RAVELLO
📍The best views on the coast
- Villa Cimbrone & Villa Rutolo
- Less crowded, more relaxed
- Perfect for sunset

Day 6: NAPLES & HERCULANEUM
📍Culture + history combo
- Explore Naples for food & city vibes
- Visit Herculaneum (less crowded than Pompeii!)

💡Things to keep in mind:
🚘 6d Driving can be stressful → consider parking + bus/ ferry
⏰ Start early to avoid crowds
📍Less is more - don’t try to see everything in one day

Save this for your Amalfi Coast trip 🇮🇹✨

One of Austria’s most beautiful lakes 🇦🇹💙

Hi, I’m Sibel – a travel & outdoor photographer sharing hiking routes, photo spots and hidden gems to help you plan unforgettable adventures across Europe. ✨

If there’s one place I could visit over and over again, it’s Lake Gosau.

With the Dachstein Glacier rising behind crystal-clear water, it almost doesn’t feel real.

And the best part?

You don’t have to be an experienced hiker to enjoy this incredible view.

📍 Lake Gosau (Gosausee) // Austria 🇦🇹

💙 The lake is just a few minutes’ walk from the parking area, making it one of the most accessible alpine lakes in Austria.

🚶 The scenic loop around the lake is about 4 km and takes 1–1.5 hours, making it perfect for families and casual walkers.

🚠 Right next to the lake, the Gosau Cable Car takes you up to the Zwieselalm, where you’ll find panoramic hiking trails with spectacular views of the Dachstein Glacier.

🥾 Whether you’re looking for an easy walk or a challenging mountain hike, this area has something for every fitness level.

📸 Visit early in the morning for the best chance to see the Dachstein perfectly reflected in the calm water.

🚣 During summer, you can even rent a rowing boat and experience the lake from a completely different perspective.

💡 My tip:

Most visitors stop for a quick photo and leave.

Don’t.

Walk around the lake, take your time and enjoy the constantly changing views. Some of the best photo spots are found away from the main viewpoint.

Have you been to Lake Gosau yet? 💙

If you only visit the famous places… you’re missing the best of Italy 🇮🇹✨

Hi, I’m Sibel – a travel & outdoor photographer sharing roadtrip routes, hidden gems and photo spots to help you experience Europe beyond the tourist hotspots. Follow along for more ✨

Most people visit Italy…

and end up seeing the same places.

But some of the country’s most unforgettable spots are the ones you’ve probably never heard of.

Here are 8 places you should add to your Italy itinerary 👇

1️⃣ Madonna della Corona
A breathtaking church built into a vertical cliff. Free to visit and just a short (but steep) walk from the parking area. One of Italy’s most unique hidden gems.

2️⃣ Cinque Terre
Five colourful villages connected by scenic hiking trails, trains and boats. Stay at least one night if you can—the atmosphere changes completely after the day-trippers leave.

3️⃣ Pisa
Yes, everyone knows the Leaning Tower. But climbing it gives you an incredible view over Piazza dei Miracoli. Book your ticket in advance, especially in summer.

4️⃣ Terme di Saturnia
Natural hot springs at around 37°C all year round. Free to visit and best experienced at sunrise before the crowds arrive.

5️⃣ Punta San Vigilio (Lake Garda)
A peaceful corner of Lake Garda with cypress trees, crystal-clear water and one of the most beautiful sunsets on the lake.

6️⃣ Lake Garda
The north offers dramatic mountains and adventure, while the south feels almost Mediterranean. Explore both—you’ll get two completely different experiences.

7️⃣ Lago di Braies
One of the most beautiful alpine lakes in the Dolomites. Visit at sunrise for calm water and far fewer people.

8️⃣ Tre Cime di Lavaredo
One of Europe’s most iconic hikes. The circular trail takes around 3–4 hours and rewards you with unforgettable mountain scenery.

Italy isn’t just one destination.

From alpine lakes and mountain hikes to colourful villages and ancient history, every region feels like a completely different country.

📌 Save this for your next Italy roadtrip.

And follow along for more hidden gems, photo spots and unforgettable roadtrip routes across Europe. ✨

Everyone visits Positano. They’re missing this. 🇮🇹✨

After spending a week exploring the Amalfi Coast, these are the places I’d visit again without hesitation.

Hi, I’m Sibel – a travel & outdoor photographer sharing roadtrip routes, hidden gems and photo spots to help you plan unforgettable trips. ✨

The Amalfi Coast is so much more than just Positano. Every town has its own charm, and together they create one of the most beautiful roadtrips in Europe.

📍 Places featured in this reel:

🍋 Sorrento – the perfect base with incredible coastal views and a charming old town.

🏛️ Herculaneum – one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world and a fantastic alternative to Pompeii.

🌊 Amalfi – the historic heart of the coastline with its impressive cathedral and lively streets.

🏡 Positano – famous for its colourful cliffside houses and one of Italy’s most iconic views.

🌉 Fiordo di Furore – a hidden fjord with a tiny beach tucked between dramatic cliffs.

🤍 Atrani – the smallest town on the Amalfi Coast and one of its most underrated gems.

🌿 Ravello – known for its beautiful gardens, peaceful atmosphere and breathtaking viewpoints high above the coast.

💡 Before you go:

☀️ Start your day early to avoid the biggest crowds.

🚤 Travel by ferry whenever possible – it’s often faster and offers incredible views.

🚗 If you’re driving, allow extra time. The coastal road is beautiful but slower than it looks.

📸 Many of the best viewpoints aren’t marked – they’re hidden just a short walk from the main road.

📩 Send me “AMALFI” in a DM and I’ll send you the exact GPS locations of my favourite photo spots from this trip.

Who would you explore the Amalfi Coast with? 🇮🇹🤍

Was ich hier besonders geliebt habe:

🤍 Das Langschläfer-Frühstück bis 11 Uhr
🤍 Das tägliche 5-Gänge-Menü am Abend
🤍 Die ruhige Lage direkt am See
🤍 Spaziergänge entlang des Fuschlsees
🤍 Entspannte Stunden im Wellnessbereich
🤍 Die Möglichkeit, einfach mal nichts zu müssen

Natürlich kann man hier auch aktiv sein:

🏄‍♀️ Kostenlose SUP-Boards
🚤 Kostenlose Elektroboote für Hotelgäste
🏊 Indoor- & Outdoorpool
🧗 Boulderraum
🏌️ Golfplatz
🤸 Indoor-Trampolinhalle
