What started as an engagement party turned into a surprise wedding surrounded by the people they love most. There were plenty of shocked faces, happy tears, big laughs, and so much genuine joy throughout the entire day.

Before it all began, we met at Moana Beach for their first look, the same place they had their very first date. Even on one of those scorching South Australian summer days, it felt like everything slowed down for a moment while they saw each other for the first time.

One of my favourite things about these two is that they never wanted their photos to feel overly posed or formal. They just wanted to enjoy their day, be present with their family and friends, and have memories that felt like them.

And when that wasn’t enough, they later put their wedding outfits back on and met me at the beach again for another session, where they fully embraced the moment and ended up in the water. Some of my favourite images we’ve created together came from that session, carefree, fun, and completely authentic to who they are.

I love that bridal portraits don’t need a wedding day attached to them.

When chatting before her session, she told me she didn’t get much time for portraits on her actual wedding day and didn’t end up with many photos that were just of her. So this session was allllll about her. A chance to put the dress back on, slow things down, and create photos that celebrated her.

Just an evening focused entirely on capturing this chapter of her story.

There is something so special about having people come back to you again and again

I’ve had the privilege of photographing this beautiful couple more than once now, and I even have another session with them coming up soon. The fact that people trust me to capture multiple chapters of their story is something I’ll never take for granted.

What stood out most to me about this review was hearing that even a year later, they’re still looking back at their photos and loving them just as much.

In a world where everything moves so quickly, I think that’s pretty special.

The photos we take today become memories tomorrow. They become the images you stumble across on your phone, the ones you print, the ones that bring you right back to a moment you never want to forget.

Thank you both for trusting me with your memories over the years and trusting me when I was so new to this industry! It means more than you know, and I can’t wait to create even more magic with you at our next session

One of my favourite things about photographing people is getting little glimpses into who they are.

These two absolutely love the beach, so much so that they brought shells from home to include in their maternity photos. Such a simple little detail, but one that made the session feel even more like them.

There was no pressure to perform or pose perfectly. Just an evening spent walking along the shoreline (and some crazy waves), talking about the little person they’re waiting to meet and documenting this chapter before it becomes a memory.

Getting feedback like this after delivering a gallery is the best feeling

Golden hour at Mount Osmond is hard to beat.

The warm light, the soft colours across the sky, the city below, and that beautiful golden glow that seems to wrap around everything. It’s the perfect setting for slowing down and documenting a season of life that passes far too quickly.

This session wasn’t about perfect poses. It was about capturing the feeling of waiting for someone you’ve never met but already love more than words can explain.

These are the kinds of images I love creating. Photos that feel warm. Photos that tell a story. Photos that make you remember not just what you looked like, but what this chapter of your life felt like.

Because one day, this baby will be here. The sleepless nights will become memories, the tiny kicks will be gone, and this season will feel like it passed in the blink of an eye.

That’s why I believe maternity photos are about so much more than documenting a bump.

They’re about preserving a feeling.

And years from now, I hope these images bring all of those emotions rushing right back

My goal with my photos is always to evoke some sort of feeling from whoever is looking at them.

Like you can feel the image, the music creating a tone, a story behind it, something that is left up to your imagination..

I think it’s safe to say I nailed it with this gallery. I can’t wait to share more 🤍
