Meet Lola! 🐾❤️

This Golden Retriever x could barely contain her excitement about being at her session! She was all enthusiasm, happy energy and very, VERY interested in the chicken treats. 😂

Once we got her attention, though, she turned into the most gorgeous little poser.

This particular photo was actually requested by Mum, and I absolutely love it. There’s something so peaceful about the two of them sitting together, watching the sunset at Cobbler Creek. ❤️

Oh Bruno… those eyes! 🥹🤎

There’s something about this boy that gets you right in the feels.

Bruno is a 5½-year-old Kelpie x Staffy who made a very long journey with his pawrents to Blackwood Forest for his book session. We met just as the sun was heading down, and this handsome boy settled into his role in front of the camera like he’d been doing it his whole life.

He was so beautifully behaved and ridiculously easy to photograph! And those puppy dog eyes got me every time!

Bruno’s life changed dramatically when his family rescued him, giving him the kind of life every dog deserves. He’s now surrounded by love, other animals and a canine sibling, and it’s clear he’s found exactly where he belongs.

I loved getting to spend an evening with this special boy, and I think you’ll understand why when you see his photos in The Joy of Running Back to You. 🐾📖

Last call for applications 🐾

We're opening applications one final time for dogs to be published in our book - The Joy of Running Back to You.

There are only 5 spots left, and once they're filled that's it, applications are closing for good.

Applications close August 24th, and sessions need to be held by September 13th, so if you've been thinking about it, now's the time.

I'd love to have your dog be part of this project.

Some dogs don't just love to run... they love who they're running with.

That was Ellie.

This beautiful Kelpie x Border Collie joined me at Cobbler Creek on a fresh morning, and she was more than happy to race through the grass... as long as her mum was right there beside her.

Every run became something they shared, and watching them together was such a lovely reminder that the happiest moments are often the simplest ones.

And then there was that head tilt.

You know the one. The kind that melts your heart instantly and makes you wonder what they're thinking. Ellie had perfected it, and it was impossible not to smile every time she looked my way.

She's clever, full of fun, and completely devoted to the person she loves most.

I'm so grateful Ellie is one of the beautiful dogs featured in The Joy of Running Back to You. I can't wait for you to see her joyful spirit come to life in the pages of the book. 🐾🤍

Some dogs leave a lasting impression the very first time you meet them. 🤍

Lucy is one of those dogs.

I first met this gorgeous little Havanese and her wonderful pawrents at my Christmas Mini Sessions last year, so I was absolutely delighted when they decided to be part of The Joy of Running Back to You.

We met again one beautiful morning at my Kersbrook secluded location, where Lucy happily ran through the long grass before slowing down for the sweetest family portraits. The way she looked at her mum and dad said everything. She absolutely adores them, and it's easy to see why. They completely dote on their precious girl.

And can we take a moment to appreciate that unbelievably soft coat? I'm not sure I've ever felt fur quite so silky!

Lucy has such a gentle, loving nature, and spending the morning with her was an absolute joy.

I'm so excited that this beautiful little girl will be one of the special faces you'll meet in the pages of The Joy of Running Back to You. 🐾🤍

If Dad had asked her to run a hundred times... she probably would have. 🤍

Meet Peanut.

This sweet little girl joined me at Cobbler Creek on a crisp early morning, and it didn't take long to discover two of her favourite things in the world... her dad and chasing a ball.

Every throw was met with boundless enthusiasm, and I'm fairly sure she would have happily kept going all day if we'd let her. Add a few tasty chicken treats into the mix, and she was convinced this was the best adventure ever.

Watching the way she looked at her dad between each run was something special. You could see just how much she adored him, and that's exactly what The Joy of Running Back to You book is all about.

Not just the excitement of the run, but the reason behind it.

That joyful moment of racing back to the person who means everything.

I'm so excited that Peanut is one of the beautiful dogs helping tell that story. 🐾🤍

Wait... there's a cat in a book about dogs?

There certainly is.

Meet Smoodge, who joined her canine siblings, Stix and Stuart, for her special feature in The Joy of Running Back to You.

Her family thoughtfully packed a cosy little camp with a soft bed and blankets, imagining she'd settle in amongst the trees while the dogs had their turn.

Smoodge had other plans.

Rather than curling up in her bed, she decided it was far more interesting to explore the forest, quietly moving to take in every new sight and smell with the confidence of a seasoned adventurer.

She wasn't fazed by the morning in Blackwood Forest at all. In fact, she's quite used to heading off on adventures with her mum, and it showed.

While this book celebrates the incredible bond between dogs and their people, Smoodge is a beautiful reminder that love doesn't come with species rules. Our animals become family, no matter whether they greet us with wagging tails or gentle purrs.

I'm so glad this curious little girl became part of the story. 🤍🐾

The fluffy tail.

The way Ralph's whole face lit up as he ran.

This gorgeous six-year-old Jack Russell x Shih Tzu joined me at Blackwood Forest for his book session, and from the very first run, he had put a huge smile on my face.
His playful spirit and gentle nature shone through in every photograph.

I'm so grateful Ralph is one of the beautiful dogs featured in The Joy of Running Back to You, and I can't wait for you to meet this special little boy in the pages of the book. 🐾🤍

Meet Yogi 🐾
Some dogs arrive at their session a little unsure. Yogi did the complete opposite!

From the moment he arrived, he was a bundle of bouncing energy, ready to explore every inch of Blackwood Forest. His wonderful mum travelled such a long way to bring him for his session, and I'm so grateful she did because every minute with Yogi was pure joy.

He ran with everything he had, pulled the funniest expressions, and threw himself into every adventure with the kind of enthusiasm that gives me the biggest smiles behind the camera.

His feature in the book will be so full of personality, movement, and happiness. I can't wait for you to meet him properly and see the incredible images we created together.

Who's excited to see more of this handsome whirlwind? 💚🐶

Pink nails. Golden light. Endless zoomies. 💗

Star clearly understood that this was a special occasion.

She arrived at Blackwood Forest wearing the prettiest pink nail polish, ready for her moment in front of the camera. And she certainly didn't disappoint.

Star threw herself into every run with pure enthusiasm. There were happy zoomies, wagging tails, and plenty of laughter as we captured the joyful moments that make this project so special.

It's these little details I'll always remember. The excitement, the personality, and yes... the fabulous manicure.

Every dog featured in The Joy of Running Back to You brings something completely unique to the story, and Star's joyful spirit will always make me smile.
