Sheila Peake is an award-winning photographer, specialising in landscape, night sky and wildlife. I am an award-winning photographer who now calls Agnes Water, Qld. My photography focuses in landscape, night sky, and wildlife photography. My work explores the beauty of shape and form to immerse the viewer in the special places of the earth. I like to photograph landscapes that evoke emotion, awe,

and a timeless sense of presence. When I photograph wildlife photography I want to evoke emotion, and awe, underpinned by the need to connect wildlife and people. Coming from a conservation and communication background I aim to photograph the special places and wildlife on earth, inspiring people to enjoy, and protect. My communication of conservation ethic has taken me to six continents giving me a lifelong philosophy grounded in Freeman Tilden’s (1957) work that "Through interpretation, understanding; through understanding, appreciation; through appreciation, protection".
