Easier said than done. When things hit the fan, musicians are often either causing the problem or copping the fallout from someone else’s. But there’s a pause between stimulus and response. That bit of daylight between what happens and how you answer is everything, and learning to see what’s actually in your control is a superpower.

I’ve only ever thought to look sharp, shave, and whether the gig needs a shirt or a tee. Never once have I thought about whether it changed the way I’d get tipped. Erin has.

Learning the breakaway harmony on the downbeat has totally messed up my own solo version… But worth it
getting to do it with Erin in a duo setting. Tracks are now live wherever you listen to music.
