Chloe’s newborn session with beautiful baby Aliyah was such a special one to capture 🤍

Aliyah had a very special introduction to the world, making these memories all the more meaningful for her family.

By the time her session rolled around, she was right on the brink of no longer being a newborn, but she was still an absolute star. From her gorgeous expressions to those precious little details that are changing every day, she made capturing this chapter an absolute dream

One of the things I love most about newborn photography is that there’s no such thing as "too late." Whether your little one is a few days old or a few weeks older than planned, these moments are still worth preserving.

Because before you know it, they're no longer fitting perfectly in your arms, and these tiny details become treasured memories.

Llira’s girls had an absolute ball during their cake smash session 🎂

From the moment the cake came out, there were giggles, curious little fingers, frosting-covered smiles, and plenty of sweet memories being made.

I love watching siblings experience these sessions together. The excitement, the laughter, and those little interactions between them always end up being some of my favourite moments to capture.

Not every cake smash is about diving face-first into the cake (although that's always fun 😂). Sometimes it's about sharing the experience, making a mess together, and letting little personalities shine through.

These two brought so much joy to their session, and their smiles say it all 🤍

Okay, I know I've been a little unintentionally MIA around here lately 🤍

The reality is that life has just been BUSY. Between family life, work life, and photography life, the days seem to be flying by faster than I can keep up with them.

While I may not have been showing up on social media as much as I'd like, I've been busy behind the scenes capturing beautiful families, editing galleries, planning upcoming sessions, and soaking up precious time with my own family too.

As we head further into the year, I'm feeling so excited for what's to come. June is almost completely booked out, and I still have some availability remaining in July for anyone wanting to capture their family during my favourite season to photograph 🤍

I'm also looking forward to all the amazing sessions still to come, meeting new families, seeing familiar faces return, and creating memories that will be treasured for years to come.

One thing I hear every winter is:

"But won't it be too cold for photos?"

The truth is, winter is actually my favourite season to photograph families.

My editing style thrives in those soft, overcast conditions. The light is gentle, the colours are muted and earthy, and everything feels a little more intimate and connected.

There are no harsh shadows, no squinting into bright sunshine, and no sweaty little faces. Just beautiful, even light that allows me to create the soft, timeless images I love so much.

Winter might not seem like the obvious choice for family photos, but for me? It's the season where the magic happens

A little reminder not to let the idea of winter put you off capturing your family memories 🤍

Honestly? Winter is actually my favourite time of year to photograph families.
The soft overcast skies, the muted earthy tones, the cozy layers, the cuddles that come naturally because everyone’s trying to stay warm, it all creates such a beautiful atmosphere for photos.

I’ve always found that I work best with those softer winter vibes. The lighting is dreamy, the sessions feel more intimate, and there’s something about winter that slows everything down in the best way

You don’t need sunshine and 30 degree days for beautiful family photos. Some of the most emotional, connected, and timeless galleries come from those chilly mornings wrapped up in knits with your favourite people close by.

For those wanting a more natural, outdoor feel this winter, my outdoor winter minis will be running across June & July at the beautiful Ballarat Botanical Gardens 🤍

These sessions are all about capturing genuine connection amongst the soft winter light, earthy tones, cozy layers, and beautiful scenery the gardens offer throughout the cooler months.

Think warm knits, cuddles with your little ones, barefoot moments in the grass, and those slow, intimate family moments that winter does so beautifully

Sessions are:

Bowie’s Spiderman photoshoot was such a fun one to bring to life 🕷️

From the moment we started, he was completely in his element, fully embracing the character, the poses, the energy, and all the little details that made the session feel so authentically him.

That’s what I love most about themed sessions like this… getting to take a child’s interests and personality and turn them into something creative, exciting, and full of life.

We didn’t just take photos, we brought the whole vision to life, capturing Bowie exactly as he is in this stage of childhood: imaginative, playful, confident, and completely obsessed with Spiderman 🤍

Honestly such a cool session from start to finish.
