Trying to push through my fear of posting! I stumbled across this from the archives from my last trip to Sydney. I’m well overdue. I still miss Sydney and this wonderful muse. Every time you walk around it you discover new views, shadows, textures and shapes to play with! I still can’t believe Jorn Utzon never visited his masterpiece!

I’m proudly supporting by auctioning off (now online) one of my new paintings ‘Dip in the Bay’ for the Homer Hack Spring Ladies Lunch on the 6 September. ‘Dip in the Bay’ is a hand-painted tribute to the pure wonder of our Bay, its constantly shifting elements and those cheeky dips we love. (Acrylic on canvas, in wooden floating frame, 42 x 32cms). All proceeds will help raise funds for research and awareness towards rare childhood diseases. ‘Between the Poles’ This baby is going up for Auction tomorrow to raise funds for the extraordinarily worthwhile not for profit Foundation It’s fab to spread awareness of ’s groundbreaking research focused on understanding the Homer gene variants and other rare scaffolding genes in neurological conditions. ‘Light at the end of the Tunnel’ This painting is based on a photograph I took during lockdown. I saw this light out to sea and it felt so hopeful at a time of bleakness. I’m not sure my painting has done it justice, I keep wrestling with it, but have had to down tools and accept we can never truly capture the beauty of nature. Just nod to it and hope some of the essence and spirit of the moment comes through.
