Spend a day with us amongst the lavender fields πŸ’œ This is THE definition of making a session feel like a fun date!! We spent the hours before enjoying a beautiful lunch, sipping on w**e and frolicking through the fields. A little reminder that sometimes the most beautiful details carry the deepest meaning 🧑

I brought these flowers along for this session because to me, they felt like the perfect little symbol of the baby they were waiting to meet. Something so delicate and new, already so deeply loved, cared for and nurtured. Watching these two together, it was so clear that the nurturing had already begun. In the way they held each other, cared for each other and spoke about the little life growing between them, you could feel just how loved this baby already was.

We had sunshine, rain, wind, clouds and then the most beautiful rainbow to finish it all off. It felt like the sweetest little sign for the newest addition to Sarah and Callum’s beautiful family 🌈🩡

Come with me to photograph a surprise proposal in Canada! When I tell you I checked my equipment 10+ times before I arrived at the location, I’m not lying πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ Watching the couple arrive while trying to blend into the background and pretending I was just another tourist with a camera was iconic behaviour. I’d been keeping this secret for so long, it was such a crazy thought in this moment knowing that someone’s life was about to change in the best way! I still get butterflies thinking about it.

What’s the biggest mistake couples make before booking a photographer?

Choosing your photographer based on the photos alone. Don’t get me wrong... loving someone’s work is so important! You should absolutely be obsessed with their editing style and the way they capture moments. But here’s what people don’t think about enough... You’re not just booking a gallery. You’re booking an experience.

Your photographer is the person helping you feel comfortable, hyping you up when you’re feeling awkward, making you laugh when the nerves kick in and turning what could feel like a photoshoot into something that feels like a date. When you genuinely connect with your photographer, it shows in your photos.

The biggest compliment I get isn’t, β€œWe love our photos.” It’s, β€œWe β€œforgot the camera was even there!!”.

Beautiful photos are important... but how you feel while they’re being taken is what brings them to life!

Lately I’ve found myself reminiscing on this beautiful season of life for Jack and Emma πŸ’

The kind of love these two share is something really special. It’s the kind of love you can feel just by being around them. They both deserve every bit of happiness this next chapter brings them ✨

Back in February, Jack and Emma left Australia to begin 12 months of overseas travel together, with Canada being their very first stop. What made it even more special was that after saying our emotional goodbyes, Emma had absolutely no idea she’d be seeing me again two days later in Vancouver!

For months, Jack and I kept his proposal plans a complete secret. I arranged to fly over to Canada the day before they both arrived to location scout and make sure every detail was perfect for the big moment! A few days after the most perfect proposal, we headed into the snowy mountains for this unbelievable engagement shoot. I’m still pinching myself πŸ₯ΉπŸ₯Ή

Being trusted to document such a meaningful moment in their story honestly felt like a dream come true. This session will always hold such a special place in my heart. As a proud big sister, I know not many people get the opportunity to capture memories like these for someone they love so deeply 🀍
