As business owners, we always make it a priority to ensure that before any event, all our gear is tested, working, and backed up. But let me share a little real life story time… because sometimes, things don’t go to plan 😞
We attended a wedding a few months back, and about an hour into the service, our printer suddenly stopped working. Thankfully, we had a backup printer at home and luckily the venue wasn’t too far, so I quickly drove back to grab it. We set it all up thinking we were saved… but nope, still not working. At that point, I had to have that tough conversation with our client and let them know the printer couldn’t be restored.
Then came another event. This time, the camera wasn’t capturing guests properly because of the low lighting in the venue. At first, I couldn’t figure out what was going on, but after adjusting the camera settings, we finally got it working. To make up for the delay, we stayed an extra hour so guests could still enjoy the full experience.
In just one year of owning our photobooth, we’ve actually run into more issues with it than our 360 video booth. But honestly, these moments have taught us so much, how to think fast, problem solve under pressure, and better prepare for future events with stronger backup plans in place.
Of course, I wish everything ran perfectly every single time… but the reality is, there will always be unexpected hiccups. What matters most to us is how we respond. If something ever goes wrong at an event, we’ll always do our best to make it right, whether that’s making up lost time or offering compensation.
As much as we love sharing all the highlights, this is your reminder that behind the scenes, not everything is perfect and that’s okay. It’s all part of the journey 🤍
