How to Mount RED KOMODO X on Datavideo PTR-15 with Nikon Power Zoom Lens

Learn how to set up the Datavideo PTR-15 Robotic Pan Tilt Head with the RED Komodo X and Nikon Nikkor 28-135mm F/4 Power Zoom Lens as a remote-controlled PTZ camera. In this video, we will go over the cables and support needed to mount the RED Komodo X and PTR-15 with a Power Zoom Lens.

The PTR-15 cannot control zoom through the RED KX. There is a loop out for network control via ethernet on the PTR-15. When connected to a network, both the PTR-15 and RED KX will appear as controllable devices and can be controlled together with a Skaarhoj PTZ Camera Controller.

This unlocks a whole new level of cinematic Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) camera workflows, bringing the stunning image quality of the RED KOMODO-X’s 6K global shutter sensor into broadcast studios, live events, and houses of worship.
