MAN ESCAPES BURNING VAN AFTER COLLISION - WAKEHURST PARKWAY

Multiple emergency services were called to Wakehurst Parkway in North Narrabeen, just before 2.15pm this evening, following reports of a 2 vehicle high speed crash.

A passing NSW Ambulance car was first on scene, requesting for urgent backup. 2 vehicles including a hatchback and van had collided, one hitting a tree and beginning to catch alight.
A male occupant was transported to hospital with non life threatening injuries.

BUS CRASH - NORTH NARRABEEN

A 199 bus has collided with a P-Plater and a traffic light pole, around 8.30 this evening.
Multiple emergency services including NSW Ambulance, Police and Fire Rescue were called to the intersection of Garden Street, and Pittwater Road in North Narrabeen.
No serious injuries were reported although the bus driver and p-plater were transported to hospital for further assessment.

FACTORY FIRE - BROOKVALE

Firefighters were called in around 8.45pm after reports of a commercial premises alight on Old Pittwater Rd, Brookvale. Most of the building has been destroyed and investigations are underway.
Firefighters are still on the scene completing extinguishment, and will continue to throughout the night.

DRY CLEANER DESTROYED BY FIRE - MONA VALE

Fire and rescue crews have extinguished a fire that broke out in a dry cleaning/laundromat shop on Waratah St, in Mona Vale.
Multiple calls to 000 were made just before 8.15, reporting smoke issuing from the premises.
NSW Police are still investigating the cause of the incident at this stage.

LONG FALL OFF BALCONY - DEE WHY

Multiple NSW Ambulance, Police, and Fire Rescue resources have rushed to dee why this evening, after a man in his 50s fell 4 storeys off an apartment balcony. On arrival, paramedics found the man unconscious and struggling to breathe. After beginning treatment on the male, the specialist doctors from the team arrived on scene to assist, landing at the nearby Dee Why oval.

With the critical care paramedics on board, he was escorted to hospital under a green light corridor just after 8:30pm.

FATALITY AFTER WAKEHURST PARKWAY CRASH
A woman has died this afternoon after a head on collision on the Wakehurst Parkway, near Middle Creek. Just after 4.30pm, various emergency services responded to the scene after reports of patients potientally trapped and unconscious.

Multiple teenagers are in a serious condition after a P-plater collided with a tree in Bayview.
A large emergency response was called in just before 12:30, after reports that up to 6 occupants had been involved in a crash, 2 of which were unconscious and trapped inside the vehicle.

A total of 8 NSW Ambulance crews responded to the incident including 2 helicopters, and multiple intensive care units.
The NSW Police Crash Investigation Unit closed the road to begin investigating the incident, asking for any who has information on the incident to call crime stoppers (1800 33 000)

FACTORY DESTROYED - BROOKVALE

Just before 7pm this evening, Fire & Rescue NSW received multiple 000 calls regarding a factory alight. First arriving crews called for a 4th alarm (almost 20 trucks), as well as NSW Ambulance, Police and Ausgrid.
Fire crews are expected to continue to work on the fire throughout the night, with the cause of the fire not yet determined

PARAGLIDING ACCIDENT - LONG REEF HEADLAND

Emergency services have responded to reports of a serious fall in Collaroy this afternoon. It is understood a lady in her 50s fell 2 metres from a parachute, and as a result, suffered spinal/back injuries. A Rescue helicopter was called in, as well as NSW Ambulance Special Operations Paramedics, and Fire Rescue NSW.
After landing on the rocks, the Ambulance helicopter was loaded with the patient, where she was flown to Royal North Shore in a stable condition.

FACTORY FIRE - BROOKVALE

Just after 6pm, fire crews from Dee Why station responded to reports of a factory fire on Wattle St in Brookvale. Upon arrival, they were met with a large industrial building alight with heavy, black smoke issuing. With difficulty gaining access to the seat of the fire, it was not brought under control until just after 7.30pm.
