NYC. I was 23, disenchanted with the fashion world and craving a new direction. This was my first real experience doing any street photography, trying to find my 'style' and struggling to find inspiration amongst the high rises. Consequentially, it was also during this period I realised the natural world inspired me more than anything else. I began to really understand contrast, angles and scale for non-human subjects, and read the light in a broader environment after being focused on portraiture for so long. It was the beginning of a whole new way of seeing the world through my camera.

Hello everyone! Time to re-introduce myself now this account has shifted a little. I’m Angie, and I’m so grateful you’re here 💛

I’ve been behind the camera for almost 20 years, following my curiosity around the world and back again. Along the way my portrait and commercial work has been published in places like Vogue Australia, Marie Claire, Nylon, GQ and Frankie Magazine.

About ten years ago I decided I’d had enough of big cities, bought a one-way ticket to New Zealand, and moved into a van. I fell in love with the wild, and began creating atmospheric imagery that spoke to a slower, more connected way of living. I wanted to capture nature at its most enchanted- fleeting light and landscapes that carry a sense of awe, stillness and belonging.

Ferro Studio is the next chapter of this journey: fine art prints that celebrate the wilderness and created to bring a quiet poetry into your space.

🌿 My debut series, Wild Sanctuary, is a collection inspired by the Australian bush, from Queensland to Tasmania. It’s a curation 5 years in the making. A first look is now live on my website - link is in my bio.
