Reflections - Ouroborus by Artist Lindy Lee

This photograph was taken at the National Gallery, Canberra - this is my first foray into night photography.

The reflections are so crisp they almost double the artwork. The perforated patterns of light ripple gently across the surface, turning the pool into a mirror full of stars.

Around it, the buildings and trees contribute their own reflections: windows shimmer in the water, stretching into elongated bands of gold and white, while the dark silhouettes of the trees soften the edges.

I am a big fan of reflections, and this embodies everything I love.

Kingston Foreshore

A morning chasing the fog at Kingston?s Foreshore. After the fog had lifted I headed in along the boardwalk as I wanted to get the bridge reflection. Noticing the people crossing I timed the shot to get them centred and as a kayak had up come through the canal it added ripples in the water.

?VIVID IN MOTION?
After seeing a number of people trying the pixel stretching technique from Photoshop, I wanted to give it a go. But not having Photoshop, I decided to try something different. These are the original images that I put into ChatGPT and tried some different techniques. This was the result, and I love how the effect transforms a moment of illumination into a vision of movement.
