Alongside physio exercises my arms and wrists have been on a diet of ‘rest and recovery’.

But now I’m starting to get ‘stitching active’ again 🙂

For my first project I am stitching Fiona Jude’s ‘Protea’; a long stitch design printed on canvas and ready mounted. I’ll gradually (very gradually) be completing a range of projects showcasing a range of embroidery techniques, and look forward to displaying them at Serenity Corner.

I’ll also be leading Embroidery for Beginners workshops soon. If you have been wanting to attend a small group, in person workshop this is the space for you 😊

🪡 📚 🥦 The stitch and learning workshop space has been reimagined, shelves have been reloaded and the outdoor grow space is coming to fruition. They are both located at ‘Serenity Corner’, Faulconbridge in the Blue Mountains NSW

In this first stage; the workshop space will host small group beginner stitch sessions, as well as clean crafts workshops. 1:1 and small group tuition in reading development will be coming soon.

The outdoor space is being developed as an organic garden. It will give opportunities in the future for small group garden workshops, and outdoor observation for creative activities and projects. The garden is open on Saturday 25th October as part of this years Blue Mountains Edible Garden Trail Do come and say ‘hi’ 😊

It has been a while …
The shelves were being loaded and then I realised that one unit had mould from some damage received. Disappointing but a few weeks later I was offered some shelves and a unit 🙂
One of the shelves originated from a library which is quite fitting for my reading area. Sanded back a little, it will soon be full.

After a break working in the garden I am ready to reload shelves.
Tuition, primarily for reading, will take place as well as more creative workshops.

I was going to give you an update on my workspace but saw this ad pop up. The closing date for entries to the competition is 3rd April.

If you are:
- aged between 9 and 65 years old
- enjoy art or photography AND
- have a lived with disability

If you don’t match all the criteria and can’t enter the competition, maybe you would like to view the artworks instead. I will keep you posted 🙂
