Another post of, The Birds of Lake Forbes
Baillon's Crake, I have only had one sighting of these shy little birds at Lake Forbes and that took an hour of just sitting and waiting, I was finally rewarded with fifteen minutes of watching this bird feeding.
Masked Lapwings, widespread and regulars to Lake Forbes.
Silver Gulls will occasionally drop in for a few days, I have never seen more than a few on or around the lake at any one time.

Another post of birds of Lake Forbes.
Slowly working my way through and posting a photo of every bird species I have photographed on or near the lake, today post bring the count to 32.
Apostlebirds, common and you would be unlucky not to see them if looking for them.
Magpie-lark, common and doing very well around the lake.
Sulphur-crested Cockatoo, common, come and go sometimes in very large numbers, most days you would expect to see a few.

Nankeen Night Heron, regular in small numbers.
Australian White Ibis, a few regulars and at times large numbers flying in and feeding.
Northern Mallard Duck, one regular female, and I have never seen a male on the lake have seen many hybrid Mallard/ Black Ducks.

Pelicans can be in big numbers especially when central and western NSW in drought.
Magpie Geese seasonal and if conditions are right will breed, last summer the least number I have seen in 10 years in Forbes.
