A little change to how I share my work moving forward 🌷

From now on, I won’t be publicly sharing identifiable images of children’s faces on my photography page.

This is purely a portfolio and social media decision, it does not change the way I photograph or edit your session in any way. Nothing changes about your session or your gallery 🤎

I’ll continue to photograph and edit your session exactly as I always do. I won’t be changing the way I shoot, posing you differently, avoiding faces, or editing images differently because of this decision.

You will still receive your full gallery, with no images removed or altered. Once your gallery has been delivered, your images are yours to enjoy and share publicly if you wish. If you’re comfortable sharing your children’s faces publicly, you absolutely can.

This decision simply applies to what I choose to share on my own photography page, website and portfolio.

I’ve also removed/archived the majority of my existing posts while I work through this change. I may reshare some older favourites where they feel appropriate, including images where faces are naturally obscured or where I can thoughtfully minimise identifying facial features.

For my own portfolio, I’ll be looking for creative ways to share the feeling and beauty of my work while keeping children’s identities private 🌼 This will include details, silhouettes and glimpses that tell a story, but not at the expense of the children in front of my lens.

This will be a blanket business policy across all of my clients, rather than something decided on a case-by-case basis. I want to make this a clear and consistent part of how I approach sharing my work.

I’m mindful that this may change the way I showcase and market my work, and that my public portfolio may look a little different as a result. I’m comfortable with that trade-off, and I feel this is the right direction for my business.

Thank you for trusting me with your memories and for continuing to support my work 🤎 — H

🌸 A little business update 🌸

I’m fully booked for 2026 and feeling incredibly grateful. I’ll be finishing shoots a little earlier this year, and I’ll be limiting bookings in January and February. I have a few people on a shortlist already wanting to book in for early 2027, so if you would like a session next year please get in touch as my calendar looks like it will be filling up quickly those first few months.

Unfortunately, I’ve already had to say no to quite a few people hoping to book a session before the end of 2026. I never like having to say no, but I am concious of not overcomitting and ensuring that I allow myself enough time and attention for the shoots I do book. That being said, if you’d like to join my waiting list for 2026, please send me a message and I’ll be in touch if a space does become available.

Thank you so much for your continued support, bookings and recommendations. It is such a joy to be chosen as your photographer ✨🤎

Two years ago I first photographed this family, and I am so grateful they returned for an updated session.

The best part about photographing a family again isn’t just seeing how much they’ve changed, it’s getting to document all the little things that haven’t. The playfulness, the chaos, the way the youngest still runs ahead, and the way the big kids still make space for him. Such a fun gallery for this gorgeous family - oh and spot the dinosaur photo, a favourite for sure!

Before I am anything else, I am a mother.

I know they say you need to have an identity outside of “being a mum”, but mine is so deeply intertwined with motherhood that there is no part of me that feels separate from it.

My photography is rooted in my experience of watching my children grow and change. I have always loved the art, appreciated the craft, but it wasn’t until I became a mother that I truly felt its power. For ourselves, and for our children.

As important as it is for me to have photographs of my babies, I also want photographs of me with them. I want them to have photographs of me exactly as I am, completely and utterly adoring them. A reminder that raising them is the greatest privilege of my life, and that I am allowed to anchor myself in my own story, too.

I believe women deserve to be documented beautifully. To exist in the photographs, rather than always being the one behind the camera. To have evidence of the woman they were in each season of their life, and of the love they poured into the people they raised. I truly treasure the photos I have invested in over the years, they are the most important heirloom I can leave my children. The story of us. Our life, in all its phases. Together.

Spring stories 🌷 a little bit of childhood, imagined and brought to life in your own world.

A new season is just around the corner. The gardens begin to bloom, the afternoons grow longer, and little people seem to change before you’ve quite noticed it happening.

For these, I wanted to create something a little more whimsical 🌱 photographs that feel as though they’ve been lifted from the pages of a childhood storybook.

At home, in the backyard, amongst the flowers and clothesline, all the little things that make it yours.

Spring Stories will be available for only a handful of dates across September & October 2026.

30 minutes · $350
At home & backyard sessions

These will also be some of my final sessions for the year, with only very limited availability beyond October.
