Toilet talk is a VERY hot topic among caravanners… and wow, people get seriously fired up about it 💩🔥

We think cassette toilets are getting a bum wrap.

Some swear by composting toilets. Others are all in on the fancy Clesana setups. And hey, they’ve all got their place… but the way cassette toilets get talked about, you’d think they were completely unusable.

We reckon a lot of the hate comes down to how they’re used.

Once you’ve got a system, they’re simple, reliable, and don’t cost an arm and a leg to set up. No fans, no liners, no overthinking — just straightforward and gets the job done.

And let’s talk about what goes in them… those harsh chemicals? Not for us.

Packing up yesterday morning felt a little harder than usual.

This quiet farmstay has been something special — wide open skies, fresh country air, and solitude.

No crowds, no noise… just slow mornings, crackling campfires, and tranquility.

Haha this is so true! 🤣🤣🤣

Van life relationship lesson #47:

You can’t “storm off” when your entire house is 80 square feet. 😅

One of you is inside dramatically folding the same blanket three times…
The other is outside sipping coffee thinking, “Wow. It’s so peaceful today.”

Living this close teaches you two things real fast:

1. Communication is cheaper than fuel.
2. Silence hits different when there’s nowhere to go.

And somehow… you still wouldn’t trade it for a bigger house. 🚐💛

📍Tamworth, New South Wales

We rolled into Tamworth, not sure what to expect, and quickly realised… this town doesn’t do anything by halves 🎸

First stop, the Oxley Lookout and wow - panoramic views of the town, the Peel River Valley, and surrounding rural countryside 😍

Of course, you can’t come here without ticking off the icons.

The Big Golden Guitar is even bigger in real life (and yes… we got the photo 📸)

Then it's into the National Guitar Museum, which does exactly what it says on the tin - an impressive collection of guitars from every genre, interesting info, and even life-size waxworks of some of Australia's biggest country music stars.

And just when you think you’ve seen it all… check out the size of the Big Horse, which you'll find just out of town, at Stockton Motel 🐴

Tamworth definitely surprised us 🥰

Early this arvo, we crossed the border from NSW, back into Queensland.

We're now setup at a HipCamp in the Scenic Rim Region, enjoying the stunning scenery 😍

Jamie's currently lining our van shelves and drawers with this self-adhesive foam (available at Bunnings)

Not only does it stop things sliding around, it looks good too 😍

He's been a busy bee today - this morning he did some regreasing and attempted to fix our jockey wheel (it's terminal!) 🐝

One thing you very quickly learn when you're living on the road is barely a day goes by without something needing a repair!

Good timing for us - they just lowered the price an hour ago 😁
