Best thing about the outback? 🤔

The free camping! 🥰

Since we left Brisbane ten days ago, we've spent the grand sum of $95 on accommodation.

It's helping balance out the higher fuel cost - nearly $700 spent on diesel already and we haven't reached Winton yet!

We're also enjoying the big skies, peace and tranquility, and being away from the hustle and bustle of the coast.

One of the best parts about fulltime travel isn’t the places you see… it’s the people you meet along the way. 🚐✨

There’s something pretty special about crossing paths with like-minded travellers who quickly become lifelong friends. Campfire chats, shared adventures, helping each other out on the road, and making memories in places you never expected - that’s the stuff that really makes this lifestyle so wonderful.

We’ve been lucky enough to meet some incredible people during our travels, including Denise and Gary from Turtle Tracks Travels, and their latest episode is a little snapshot of a fun time we shared recently.

It's been a stressful start to our journey, heading west 😬

The van got a solar upgrade, but wasn't performing as we expected.

Two blown fuses and an MPPT not setup properly turned out to be the culprits.

This morning, the sun is shining and the batteries are finally getting a decent charge ☀️

🥰 After seven months on the east coast, today we started heading west...

We've had a blast, exploring the coastal and hinterland regions of Queensland and northern New South Wales, catching up with friends and family, and making new friends along the way.

Our caravan has had a few upgrades, so we're even better prepared for off-grid living - just as well, as we're planning on tackling the Tanami and Gibb River Road on our way to southwest WA for Christmas.

We can't wait to see what the next few months have in store. Come and say hello if you see us!
