Toilet talk is a VERY hot topic among caravanners… and wow, people get seriously fired up about it 💩🔥
We think cassette toilets are getting a bum wrap.
Some swear by composting toilets. Others are all in on the fancy Clesana setups. And hey, they’ve all got their place… but the way cassette toilets get talked about, you’d think they were completely unusable.
We reckon a lot of the hate comes down to how they’re used.
Once you’ve got a system, they’re simple, reliable, and don’t cost an arm and a leg to set up. No fans, no liners, no overthinking — just straightforward and gets the job done.
And let’s talk about what goes in them… those harsh chemicals? Not for us.
We switched to EcoTraveller’s ProTreat pods a couple of years ago.
A combination of probiotics and environmentally friendly ingredients, they help breakdown waste and remove odours from your caravan.
No more chemical smell, better for the environment, and a nicer experience all round. It’s a cleaner way to deal with… well… the not-so-clean side of travel.
Are composting and Clesana toilets more high-tech? Sure.
Are cassette toilets the disaster they’re made out to be? Not even close.
So… what’s your setup - cassette, composting, separating or Clesana… and would you switch? 🤔
👍Leave the chemicals behind - 20% off ProTreat pods is happening now https://bit.ly/OOJ_Eco
