My Dad called me yesterday for a chat. Half way through our conversation a ladies voice tells us that the call was being recorded. Both of us were confused by this as neither of us had done anything to cause this, but we kept on chatting - talking about our weekends, weather, gardening, wildlife and technology.
At the end of call I noticed a notification on my phone telling me that the recording was being saved and it's location - my cheek must have pressed a button during our call. So, because my phone is getting full, I decided to delete the recording as I am sure it would take up alot of space. However, before I could delete it a feeling came over me - a feeling of regret, of loss if I was to do that. A thought came to mind. Maybe this happened for a reason. Maybe I needed to have this recording of my father's voice. What if I didn't get another chance to record his voice - or even hear it?
I have been wanting to practice my legacy portrait service on my parents, part of that service is voice recording of the sitter. But life happens and I just haven't gotten around to it. This has been a wake up call to get moving on this legacy portrait service - not just for my parents but also for you and your loved ones. Don't leave it until it is too late.

I have had a few chats over the last couple of weeks with parents who either missed out on photo day at their child's school or that their kids attend different schools so haven't been able to have a sibling school photo this year.

I would love to offer these sessions again but for it to run well I need to know who is interested and what is going to work well for them.

My aim with these mini sessions is to provide families with great photographic memories of their children as they are now. I don't want any child to miss out on school photos and these keepsakes that will hopefully accumulate over the years. This is not a 2min photo of your child with rigid posing - it is more like time for them to feel safe and comfortable so that their true selves shine through the lens.

Ok, so I have seen soooo many photographers opening bookings for their 🎄 Christmas Minis already. I know, for myself, that is way too early for my family Christmas preparations 😲 - I am still focused on making it through term 3 of kids at school.

But I would love your input. Let me know in the comments your thoughts on the following:-

1️⃣ When you are open to booking your Christmas photos - do we book now and click later? Or are we ready to book when Christmas is on your mind and ready to do the seassion (a couple weeks before the minis).

2️⃣ Which month is the best time for your family to have their Christmas photo experience

3️⃣ What kind of Christmas theme you would like to see this year from me. I have something in mind but I would still love your input.
