Ken Drake Photography

Ken Drake Photography Tasmanian based master photographer and author who has specialised exclusively in animal photography since 2006.

Together with his wife Beck, Ken owns and operates Ken Drake Photography specialising in pet portraits across Tasmania. Ken’s main goal as a photographer, his consuming passion, is to share with the world something that animal lovers have known all along, that animals have their own unique personality, they share our emotions, they share our fears and they share our love. This passion, effort, and

artistry is poured into his work which is reflected in the stunning photographs he captures for his clients and sets his work apart. When he is not photographing animals, you will often find Ken out and about on this his 40acre farm in Tassie talking to his cows and wondering what his ducks are getting up too.

Our Tassies dogs could use your help this Christmas

🐶 Woof! AmbassaDog (fully trained and certified), Sir Tater Tot here, to officially launch our Christmas Appeal. This festive season, my dog friends need help from a kind, generous dog-lover like you. Every dog deserves a loving home, especially at Christmas. www.dhot.com.au/xmasappeal/

Sadly, in Tassie, not every dog will be enjoying time with a forever family this Christmas. Not every dog has known love and kindness.
Not every dog has the care and support they need to thrive.

I want them ALL to have safe, loving homes, just like I do. But we really need your help now to achieve this.

Our Homes are always here for every dog in Tassie, caring for almost 3,000 each year—we never turn a dog away. But it’s getting tougher, costs are rising for us all.

So, as you prepare for the Christmas season, to spend time with your friends and family, I hope you can open your dog-loving heart for my dog friends, with a small donation. 🎁

Please support our Christmas Appeal and HELP CHANGE A DOG’S LIFE TODAY. ♥

👋 Hello everyone my name is Beck I work with the Dogs' Homes and NO I am not a dog.😉 But this is Bollo a rescued dog that meant so much to me.

Today is Giving Tuesday and NOTHING reminds me more about the importance of giving than my boy Bollo. He was my world and my everything!

Bollo and I found each other through the amazing work and charity of people that saved his life.

Sadly we lost him in June but he is forever in my heart 💖

Giving Tuesday is a moment for charities all around the world to remind us that they are there AND that they need our help.

Bollo is MY reason for giving on Giving Tuesday.

Charities like the Dogs' Homes change lives for the better! And I am not just talking about a dog's life either 🐶

So, today i am asking you ….

On Giving Tuesday, how can you help a charity or cause you care about?

If it's dogs and the Dogs Homes you care about then…...

Show your support with a like and a share.

OR Share a picture of your dog here with me to show you care about the great work that DHoT do for Tassie dogs.

Or maybe you can take 5 minutes out of your day to make a small donation here:

Giving Tuesday - 30th November

One day can make a BIG difference!

And to the volunteers, foster carers and donors that are already giving - many of you every day - Thank you 💖

TODAY WE LAUNCH OUR CHRISTMAS APPEAL FOR YOUR SUPPORT
www.dhot.com.au/xmasappeal/

And our Ambassadogs Norm, Sasha, Vespa and Murphy are barking up for all Tassie dogs that need your help today.

It's been another crazy year! But throughout all the ups and downs our dogs have been there for us! Like many of you, we are grateful for their companionship, cuddles and playful optimism.

Sadly not every dog will be enjoying Christmas with their forever family.

This Christmas Appeal Our Ambassadogs will be sharing three important Christmas Wishes to help create a brighter future for dogs across Tasmania.

THEY HOPE YOU CAN SUPPORT US THIS CHRISTMAS WITH THE GIFT OF A DONATION

As you may know, our four homes never turn a dog away. We are always here for every dog. Each year dedicated staff and people like you help over 3000 lost, stray and unwanted dogs across Tasmania.

Please support our Christmas Appeal and

We love Kennie, I met this great guy last week when I was videoing and photoing at the Burnie Digs Home. He had just arrived and looked a bit unsettled but he is getting on much better now 🙂

Can anyone give him a home?

Update : Kennie has been adopted ❤️❤️

An active boy, full of joy and enthusiasm, Kennie is an 18 month old Kelpie. Kennie just looooves company, he really won't do well in a home where he is left by himself for much of the day. He's a clever and attentive boy who loves his treats and enrichment activities, and will love learning whatever you'd like to teach him. Kennie will do well in a home where his hoomans have time to devote to him, will allow him indoors with them, and will take him off on adventures and fun activities.
Kennie is in our Burnie Home so if you'd like to adopt him please use the link below to book an appointment to meet available dogs. Just remember that as dogs are adopted throughout the day we can't guarantee any particular dog will be there when you visit.
