I swear time didn’t move this fast when I was younger.

Somewhere after thirty it feels like life speeds up. Weeks disappear into school schedules, groceries, bedtime routines, and the quiet exhaustion of just keeping everything going.

Sometimes I sit there and realise… the only thing that seems to be happening is that I’m getting older. And it’s a strange feeling.

Because a part of me still wants the same things I used to want. To travel. To create something meaningful. To do something a little bigger than the small daily loop of life.

But now there’s a child to raise.
A school schedule to follow.
Responsibilities that don’t pause just because you still have dreams.

So I wonder sometimes…
Did that version of me quietly expire?

Or is she just waiting somewhere underneath all of this -patient, a little tired, but still alive?

Maybe this is the confusing part of being in your thirties.

You’re grateful. You love your child more than anything. And yet you can’t help but feel the quiet grief of time passing. Not because you regret your life. Just because you’re not sure if you’ll ever get to become everything you once imagined you could be.
