My eucalyptus pressiana gets so many comments from passers by and it is easy to see why with its bold lime green flowers and red and blue green leaves.

Pretty happy with how quickly this painting pulls the room together. The colours work really well on the charcoal wall and add so much warmth and vibrancy.

Some close ups of my recent protea painting. It is always exciting when a protea flowers for the first time and this was a complete surprise because I lost the tag. The copper centre looks great with the dusty blue green leaves, pretty happy with this one.

One of the more time consuming parts of my painting process is arranging and photographing the flowers. I usually have an idea on the colours and angles but sometimes I need to wait for the morning light to hit just right.

A little more progress today. With it so cold outside I don’t need much of an excuse to sit in the warm and paint, especially with a hot chocolate for extra warmth.
