So happy to see Nico recognised in the Valerie Taylor Award of Excellence at OGPICOTY 2026. It's always a pleasure learning from someone who combines technical excellence with a genuine desire to help others improve. Congratulations on another well-deserved milestone!

I’m pleased to share that one of my images received an Honourable Mention in the Colour Print category of the 2026 Ocean Geographic Pictures of the Year photo competition.

But what makes me even happier is seeing so many members of The Underwater Club recognised this year. In total, 11 members of The Underwater Club received awards, category wins, honourable mentions, or special mentions across the competition.

A special congratulations to Maryline Renault, who earned four awards including a category win, and to my friends Capozzola, Vanessa Mignon and Luc Rooman, who were also recognised in the “Colour Prints” category. Renée and Vanessa took 1st and 2nd place, while Luc and I received Honourable Mentions—the four of us “hanging out” together in Colour Prints 😊

Recognised as a finalist in the 2026 Ocean Geographic Photographer intake, selected by the Ocean Geographic Editorial and Photographic Advisory Board through The Underwater Club’s new and innovative recognition program.

This is a portfolio-based selection — assessing not just individual images, but consistency, technical ex*****on, artistic maturity, and narrative depth across my body of work. The program is built around more than aesthetics — it’s about how we choose to represent the ocean and the responsibility that comes with it.

Grateful to The Underwater Club for building a platform that supports not only skill, but growth and purpose; to Nicolas & Léna REMY for the guidance and feedback along the way; and to Michael Aw for his personal feedback.

There are many ways to contribute to ocean conservation. For me, it’s through images — and learning to use that voice more deliberately. It’s also a reminder that my voice — and the way I choose to use it — carries further than I once thought.
