Between Melbrourne's two lockdowns my brother and a couple of friends escaped the city for some much needed time in the "wilderness". Read about our very cold adventure below.

Find this beauty tucked into a less-trodden side of Mt Buffalo National Park.

So during this time I have spent some time updating my old website. One thing I wanted to include were the articles I have contributed to over the years. One of these was the story of artist I did with Lo & Behold media a few years ago about her connection between the ocean and her art. Go to the link in my bio to read more. I will be adding more to my website over the coming weeks / months

Apparently it's Earth Day so happy it. Currently sitting looking at the skies last yellow and red hues before they fade to black, and admiring the ocean reflecting those hues. While the rain pelts the roof. Thinking how lucky I am to be by the ocean with all the beautiful lines that have tormented me all day. I have been extremely lucky to see to some breathtaking views lately and here is a shot from the Himalayas looking out at Everest in the distance.

Up here the air is silent. In this vast rugged land, the only sound is the wind belting the peaks, the roaring torrents of rivers, and the rhythmic ringing from the bells on the yaks. A soft calmness permeates the atmosphere as snowflakes slowly fall to the ground,

Up here it's hard living, the weather comes and goes faster than the tourists. Nights are well below -10 degrees Celsius. It's a miracle that human life can thrive in this extreme climate. Clouds roll in rendering darkness and snow.

Up here the Sherpa people have lived in these mountains for over 600 years, toiling the land to live. Life is hard, all supplies have to be carried on the backs of animals or humans. The peaks tower above their settlements, decorated in shrines and prayer flags.

Up here they believe the mountains are gods and don’t understand why westerners travel far to climb the world’s highest peaks. They risk their lives carrying heavy gear and equipment over treacherous terrain.

Up here I walk full of wonder, in awe of the Sherpa and the mountains. Each direction a peak will humble you making you feel insignificant. I walk for an escape from my comfortable life. I walk for a physical and mental challenge. I walk for curiosity. But mainly I walk up here because it makes me feel alive. @ Khumbu

"We are powerless to fight the unexpected swells in life, there are times only choice is to let go of the perception that we are in control and simply allow the waves to carry us through"

From a quote in book that I heard on the podcast yesterday.

So here's some swell to help carry you all through, shot in 2014 and 2015

To the friends and family worried who were worried about me getting stuck in Nepal I am safe and am about to board a plane back to Melbourne. Has been a stressful few days as I quickly hiked back off the mountain to catch a flight off this sketchy runway to get back to Kathmandu before the airport shut indefinitely. Thanks for the support of family and friends, I managed to get the last flight out of Nepal with the huge support of my family I am forever grateful. I still can't believe how much the world has changed in such a short space of time. Just take each day as it comes, be patient and positive and celebrate the small wins. We will be through these hard times before you know it ✌
