A catch-up with Michael Evans early this morning at Yellingbo yielded the critically endangered Helmeted Honeyeater, a White Naped Honeyeater, a Sacred Kingfisher, a Little Wattlebird, and a Spotted Pardalote.

Along for the ride, were the menacing and watchful eyes of the Anti-Landrover fraternity too!

'The Serendipity of Black and White Photography' is a portfolio of 100x images taken in, around, and even under London!

It's aim is not to be presented as 'yet another' photography book of that famous city, but rather to be an exploration of what occurs between brain and eye, when images are presented in black and white as distinct from color, especially when looking at some familiar scenes that we have viewed previously.

Without color, our perspective changes and we have to rely on contrast, light, shade and tonal differences to interpret what is in front of us; the book includes 4 short essays that provide context to how we look at a world in monochrome, and with metadata for each image and a generous introduction written by none-other than Michael Evans (Photographer), what more could you want!!

This is a project that took 15 years to complete - and so it is definitely planned that Volume 2 (Melbourne), will be a lot quicker to put together....

We are delighted to announce that our 2nd Clip is now showing in all good YouTube theatres!

This week we travelled from dawn till dusk around the Mornington Peninsula and Phillip Island, and with quite a number of failures and successes to talk about, this trip will actually be split across two different videos.

We do hope that you like the tales from our Big Day Out, and if you do - please 'Like', 'Subscribe' and perhaps even 'Share' this!

All the best,
Michael and Mark

After making a promise to myself that shutter-buttons must be fired each and every day (regardless of the vagaries of the weather), here's a new 'project' to take images of everyday objects that are quite likely in or around the home, and then create an alternative version of the same image that is 're-interpreted'......

Perhaps not for everybody, but there may occasionally be an item or two that creates interest.

Feel free to pass on your thoughts!

Continuing my interest in manipulating images to create completely different outcomes, The Daily Project involves taking two cameras out each day, with an aim to take photographs of recognisable subjects, and then producing an alternative version that markedly changes the view and perception of the....

A recent poll of all the registered fans of this website was undertaken, and the question was posed to both of them: "Should it be updated??"

Eventually after many phone-calls, texts and eventually bribes they responded with a resounding "If you feel the need........."

And so, here is indeed a fully rejuvenated, updated, curated (and a couple of other words ending in "-ed") ImagerybyCo website.

[The domain has also been changed, and is no longer a .com - so if you had accidentally book-marked it previously, please note the new address!!!]

Whilst some folk say that this is the 'World's Most Impressive' website, most others say it's far more important than that!🤣😆

Nonetheless and all jokes aside - it's a bit of a fresh look at some of the snaps taken over the years, and hopefully there'll be a few more to come.

Thank you....

Both of you!
