Sometimes being creative means using what you have when you get inspired.

This image showed itself to me while walking my dog.
It took me a little imagination to get the shot without all the other plants and flowers interrupting the clean image of one flower and many shadows. The rest was processing in my photo app. I removed a couple of blemishes on the painted wall. That's it.

Taken against the wall That's now Locked On Storage in Nambour. The building has new tenants now and had a repaint.

Sometimes being creative means engaging with what's in front of you. Seeing the light, seeing a vision. Then learning how to make your vision into reality.
Engaging in visualisation and ex*****on releases serotonin and decreases stress hormones.
That's what is about. And it doesn't have to be painting. This photo was taken in Nambour and processed in Light Room.

I haven't posted anything from my art diary for a while.
Here I wanted to play with a set of inks that I originally bought for adding calligraphy to my artwork.
This picture took about 20 mins and I worked totally in ink and water.
Testing whether watercolor techniques would work.
There wasn't much thought in the construction of the image but now I feel as though I have a way to move forward with this medium.
So I'm going to continue with several other images and play with applications and see what emerges. I may even try some other mediums and see how the ink responds.
Without playing we never know what techniques we might stumble upon to give our own work that special unique quality that adds to your style.

I removed 6 cherry shrimp from the community tank and gave them space in a new world to help prepare it for a new community.
They had the perfect conditions and no predators or disturbing activity.
Their environment has now fully cycled and the snails are breeding and it's quiet, the plants are growing.
I noticed them having this daily get together, like a yarning circle. They're enjoying the space and have fun swimming freely.
Then I noticed the babies 😀🥰 too many to count.
So now I have a shrimp tank. Not sure if I'll continue with my plan to bring new community members in.
Do you think a few guppies would like the space too?

When you're driving in the country and a guava tree is laden with fruit and many on the ground next to a public road stop, you stop and check for grubs.
Clean as a whistle.
Out with a shopping bag and 2 kg of fruit.
By the time they're de-seeded there's about 1 1/2 kg, cook them down and add lemon juice then zest and you get about 1.2 kg of pulp pushed through a colander. Add 1kg of raw sugar and half a jar of marmalade.
Guava conserve. Yumm yumm
