Behind every small business is a person.

Someone who has put their heart into what they do, but often finds themselves avoiding being in front of the camera.

And I get it.

Most people I photograph would rather focus on helping others than being in front of the camera.

That's why my approach is the same whether I'm photographing a family or a business.

Relaxed. Guided. Natural.

No pressure to be anything other than yourself.

Because the best images aren't about looking perfect.

They're about helping people connect with who you are and what you do.

Sometimes the photos that end up meaning the most aren't the ones we plan.

A weekend away in Tamworth, spending time with family and friends, and a few happy snaps of Chloe and her little boy.

Nothing elaborate.
No expectations.

Just a mum and her son spending time together.

One of the things I love most about photography is being able to capture these moments before they quietly become memories.

Because the everyday moments matter too.

Sometimes we move through life following the timeline...

dating, engagement, marriage, kids... because it feels like the next step.

But I think somewhere along the way we can forget to stop and really look at the person beside us.

Not because someone expects us to.

Not because it's the next thing to do.

Just because we love them.

One of my favourite things about photography is getting to hold up a moment and say...

Look at that.

Look at the way you look at each other.

Look at the connection that's already there.

Because sometimes we don't see it ourselves until someone shows it back to us ❤️

It feels like time to reintroduce myself ❤️

Over the last little while I've realised something about why I'm drawn to photography.

As people, and as businesses, we evolve. I know I have.

I don't think I'm really looking for perfect smiles or perfect poses.

I notice the little things.

The way someone reaches for a hand.
The way people soften around the ones they love.
The quiet moments in between.

Helping people see and feel the connection that's already there has become the heart of my work.

Maybe that's why I love photographing families, couples, motherhood and brand... because underneath it all, it's never really been about the category for me.

It's always been about people.

And helping them see themselves a little differently ❤️
