Having done (only) a couple of aerial hammock shoots now, we’ve realised that they can sometimes be a little more challenging than other apparatuses (for us)!

Depending on the sequences (wrapping) and subsequent poses the models choose to do for their shoot, it may be hard to reach the model to get them in the best angle for the shot (unlike silks where we can utilise the tail to manoeuvre the model to face different directions).

For this reason, if you’re planning hammock for your next aerial photoshoot, we suggest you either choose poses that don’t wrap you up too high or ensure you can give yourself a good spin before you start your wraps so we’re able to get you the angle that looks best (which is not necessarily always the angle you think)!
