A fun full-sun sesh as part of my mumma + minis giveaway way back when ☀️
Ngl I’m not loving the hearts on faces, but I much prefer it to a skin-coloured (eyeless) blur 😆 My stance on posting your kiddos is unchanged - from a distance, side profile & obscured faces (particularly if they’re not a bub anymore!). My view is that these photos are yours to share, not mine - your privacy comes first 🫶

(Also - suggestions welcome for something nicer than the 🤍 as a cover up hahaha)

A few galleries to go home this week + a fresh 48 hospital newborn session tomorrow 🥹 It’s funny - almost feel caught up with life, justtt in time to start PACKING for our move 🫠 Still waiting on a PCI date but we’ve been told September (eee!)
On the plus side, 80% of our belongings are still in boxes since we started the build process 2+ years ago, so how hard can it be hahaha
Throwback to this fun family session somewhere special to them 🫶

Do I regret starting my business while on maternity leave? A little - but only saying this from the depths of a burnout cycle wondering what life would look like now if I had given my nervous system the proper break it needed. Plus also adjusting to mum life. Love this biz (and my incred clients!!!!!!!!) too much to quit though so this is just a little explainer for my absence while I pick myself up off the floor 🫠

If you’re pregnant and worried you’ll look ridiculous during a shoot.. don’t be (I’ve got you - truly humbled by the BTS for this beach maternity session 😆)

It’s TOTALLY NORMAL to feel awkward on camera (even with gentle direction) but I promise the photos won’t look it 🫶

Not going to lie, I was humbled by the BTS from this maternity session 🫠 Some would say I’m a beach yoga pro (…obv joking, absolutely NO ONE would say that 😆)
In all seriousness, even with gentle direction - you may still feel super awkward. And that’s okay!!! I promise you won’t look actually look it in the photos (though I probs will) 🫶

Okay - reposting from stories because I want this easy to find, so I can listen back over and over 🥹
Time blindness is probably my biggest struggle… but to think Heidi is 2?! And I already can’t remember the newborn days, or actually picture her when she turned 1. I was looking back at photos and feeling so sad that I couldn’t clearly remember her that way (my memory is a sieve and I’m not a visual thinker 🫠)
ANYWAY… it’s why I’ve always taken photos/recorded all the random little things in my life, and I feel the need to hold on even more now as her mumma. Sorting my 97,284-strong phone camera roll is on my to-do-but-too-overwhelmed list, but that’s a story for another day 🤣
