☀️ What a way to finish the junior footy season!

With a bye and two clubs from different comps, they could have called it a day… instead they pulled together a scratch match, despite one team being seriously short on numbers.

Because that’s community footy. 🏉❤️ Just getting out there, having fun and giving the kids another game to remember.

Rain. Sun. Wind. Rain. 🌧️☀️🌬️🌧️ Perth really couldn’t decide what season it was this weekend! 😂

The juniors and colts were out there through all of it, and I managed to capture plenty of moments along the way.

I actually love photographing footy in the rain — the action and atmosphere and are worth getting a little wet for. The tricky part is trying to hold an umbrella over the camera while actually taking the photos… turns out I haven’t quite mastered the three-hands technique yet! 😂📸

The colts were also looking very sharp in their stealth guernseys for Mental Health Round. 🖤🏉

The rain gave us a break, but the chilly wind definitely kept everyone awake. 🌬️❄️

From Juniors through to the Colts, there was plenty of determined footy, a couple of really nice marks and lots of moments that tell the story of community football.

Every game tells a different story. This week it wasn’t about the spectacular marks or bone-rattling tackles—it was about teamwork, effort and enjoying a great day of junior footy.

Over the past year I've had the privilege of photographing everything from junior footy and family celebrations to school balls, community events and wildlife in East Africa. Every photo represents a moment worth remembering.

Some weekends fly higher than others! 🏉📸

From Country Week through to the Colts, there were plenty of big leaps, ruck contests and strong tackles to entertain.

Always great to spend the weekend on the sidelines watching local footy and photographing the moments.

Rain, then wind, then sunshine… then back to rain again! Classic Perth footy weather.

Despite the ever-changing conditions, both the Juniors and Colts put on a great show with plenty of determination, teamwork and some fantastic contests. Always a pleasure being on the sidelines to capture it all. 📸🏉
