Do you want a job that can offer consistent hours and stability throughout the uncertain Covid climate? Work independently with your own company vehicle and service your own client base?
I am a small business owner, sole trader, working under the Jims mowing brand but running my own business. I am looking for a team member who can reliably work full time, 5 days per week during the summer months, and complete a flexible week during the slower growing months. A flexible week includes a min of 3 days, max of 5 days. Unfortunately, the weather is something we all cannot control, so flexibility here is important due to being an outdoor, rain dependent role. You will be working independently, servicing clients throughout the Cameron Park, Edgeworth, Cardiff and upper Lake Mac suburbs. The position includes use of a company vehicle and all equipment.
I am looking for someone who I can trust to jump in the work ute in the morning and head off to their list of clients to complete the work at a high standard. My clients are great people and often like to say gidday and have a quick yarn, so people skills is a good asset to have. These customers all know which day of the week they are scheduled to have their yard serviced and are keen to see you arrive and complete the job well.
I like to treat those who work with me like good mates who I have known for years, always keen to have a few bevvies at the end of a good week and value honest, hard working people.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Garden maintenance work including mowing, edging, pruning
- W**d spraying
- Assisting myself with hedging on larger sites and commercial clients
-Seasonal fertilizing, mulching and top dressing of lawns
-Soft landscaping works – planting of trees/flower beds
-A range of other relevant horticultural works
What you need:
- Current unrestricted drivers license
- Willingness to learn how to use all equipment
- Weekly service of equipment
- Daily reporting
-Good time management and communication skills
-The ability to adhere to company WH&S policies ensuring a safe and productive workplace
- Comply with all Covid Safe practices
- A desire to provide a high quality commercial garden maintenance service
The successful applicant will complete training alongside myself, and once achieved, they will be able to use the company ute and equipment. to service an independent run. Competitive wage offered - will discuss in interview.
