The gear behind the stories
Each photo, video and audio recording I create is captured with equipment that has come from one place. Camera Electronic has supported me from the beginning, helping me make sure I have the right equipment, accessories and setup for what I’m trying to achieve. The majority of my camera gear is Nikon, and each camera has its own purpose.
I currently run three mirrorless cameras, each suited to a different style of shooting. My ZR is my go-to for video, while the Z6III performs exceptionally well in low-light conditions, whether I’m shooting bands, night events or anything where lighting is a challenge. Then there’s the Z9, which is my camera for capturing fast-paced action, with the speed, autofocus and reliability I need when things are happening quickly.
These cameras are paired with a variety of lenses, from wide-angle lenses through to long-range telephoto lenses. Having that range allows me to shoot from one end of an arena while still keeping the subject filling the frame from the other side.
For editing, I’ve naturally fallen into the Lightroom workflow, like a lot of photographers. For video, I use DaVinci Resolve, which gives me the tools I need to bring the footage together and tell the story properly.
There are constantly new upgrades, features and techniques to learn, which suits me perfectly. I’m always looking for ways to improve, try something different and make sure I’m never just doing the same thing twice.
