Filmed over a couple of weeks in Japan this year, ’Shirokuro’ is focused on texture, sound, snow and the quiet moments between movement. Exploring what remains when colour falls away, this piece reflects on contrast, silence and the richness that lives between black and white.

Over the moon to have an opportunity to create my first narrative-based film and enter it in a renowned short film festival. Meeting Steph at the table next to me whilst enjoying a burrito in Byron Bay and having it come to this was something special.

Over the moon to take second place 🥈 at the last night with ‘Shirokuro’!

This was a piece vision that I’d had for a while. High contrast, deliberate sound design, depicting the small and defining moments between the black and white of ski seasons. It came to life with the amazing, athletic ability of who was onboard with every idea during our time in Japan this year.

Thanks to those who still believe in the power of art, sound and movement.
