You turn up to a shoot, your photographer is late, all over the place, making excuses and yeh the images are good but it’s not just about the end result. You deserve the best version of me from enquiry to final gallery and everything in between. That’s why, I’m not going to continue saying sorry for being MIA, I am going to do what I can when I can in terms of posting, marketing etc. reply within 2-3 business days if need be (that’s a normal boundary people) and stop treating my HOBBY as a HUSTLE.

This will help ME give YOU the best experience we can.

I really thought I had to keep up with every trend to grow online.

The trending sounds.
The constant posting.
The perfect aesthetic.

Trying to make my business look like everyone else’s.

But I’m tired.

I don’t want to force myself into “influencer” content when what I actually love is creating, photographing, styling and building something that feels like me.

So this is your reminder …..and mine, that you don’t have to chase every trend to be seen.

You just have to keep showing up as yourself. 🤎

If you’ve ever wondered what goes into your final gallery, this one’s for you.

This is only a 4‑minute edit of a single image, not the full process your photos go through before you see them in your gallery. Even at the end you can see you can’t simply copy and paste an edit even if it’s from the same gallery ….

Real editing = colour grading, skin work, removing distractions, matching tones across the whole shoot… not slapping a preset and calling it a day.

So my daughter’s daycare asked families to supply some images to help the children develop a sense of belonging. I’m scrolling through my camera roll trying to find any resemblance of a family photo, and I’m quickly realising that unless it’s a selfie with one of the kids, a picture I took of dad and the kids, or that one time I begged for a photo of me and the kids (which obviously means dad’s not in it)… we’ve got nothing.

I keep scrolling and finally find a “nice” family photo from last year’s Christmas minis, both kids look completely different and dad still has half his hairline.

If you’re in the same boat, send this to your husband, grab his wallet and book the photographer. Because kids grow too quickly, and while selfies have their place, it’s the professional photos that end up on Storypark and daycare walls.

We knew it would be cold, We dressed warmly, thennnnnn we said stuff it, froze our butts and got some creative, magic, shots!! Can’t wait to show you more from this amazing session soon.
