As I stepped out into this lovely Sunday evening, I felt driven to seize the opportunity to capture the city's nighttime splendor, inspired to showcase the CBD's architectural beauty.

I'd like to share a video of myself at a fossil site.

Remember to respect the land, follow the signs, and be mindful of others Take only what's necessary, take your rubbish home, and bring the kids - but above all, have fun outdoors responsibly and sensibly. ๐Ÿ˜Š

These two photos were sent to me by Travis Whiting of his grandfather's photo album here's a story to go with them.

My grandfather (Noel Whiting) was an Engine Cleaner and Acting Fireman at Emu Park during WW2. He had many photos from his time in the railway one was of the Emu Park based train PB15 No. 737 the day after Victory Pacific Day. Hereโ€™s the story behind the photos.

PB15 - 737 Emu Park Station. On the Victory in the Pacific Day (VP Day Thursday 15 August 1945) 2 daughters from the local grocers drove around Emu Park sounding the air raid siren. When they got to the station they saw Noel Whiting and asked if they could decorate 737 to celebrate. Noel asked the station master and he agreed, he thought it was a wonderful idea to celebrate. The following morning (Friday 16 August 1945) the 2 girls, the station master (who supplied the flag bunting) and Noel decorated the loco before its departure to Rockhampton. The station master rang through to Rockhampton and notified them of the decorated train and that nothing was to be taken off the train while it spent the day in Rockhampton. Apparently by the time the train arrived in Rockhampton word had gotten around town about the arrival of the decorated train and apparently crowds lined Denison St to see the decorated train.
