This is why film is so cool…
These shots were taken on the same day, in the same space, with the same lighting and the same model. The only thing that changed was the film stock.
Yet one feels straight out of a laid back 70s afternoon spent reading and playing board games, while the other feels soft, romantic and almost dreamlike.
That’s the magic of film. The colours, contrast, grain and mood aren’t added afterwards. They’re built into the film itself. Choosing your film with intention can completely transform the feeling of a photograph and help bring your creative vision to life 😍
