This September, I’m swapping the photo studio for the ocean and taking on SurfAid’s Make A Wave challenge — surfing every day for 30 days to help raise funds for families in remote surf communities.

Surfing has given me a lot over the years, so this is a pretty good excuse to get in the water every day and give something back.

There’s something satisfying about getting the light just right, watching the drink come together and then seeing it all work in the final shot.

Every location is a little different, which keeps it interesting.

And yes… there’s usually a taste test involved and who doesn't love a flower on top.
