The Picton Magpies are delighted to announce the signing of James Maloney for 2026!
In association with our recruitment partner, Talentlockr, James has signed on with the Magpies and will take the field on Sunday, 21 June 2026 at Victoria Park, Picton, when we take on the Campbelltown City Kangaroos.

A two-time NRL Premiership winner and former NSW State of Origin and Australian Kangaroos representative, James brings a wealth of experience, leadership, and football knowledge to our club. We are confident his presence will provide our young Magpies squad with a significant boost and help build confidence both on and off the field.

📅 FREE COACHING CLINIC

As an added bonus, James and the team from Talentlockr will be hosting a FREE coaching clinic for players of all ages from 10:00am – 11:30am at Victoria Park, Picton prior to the game.

This is a fantastic opportunity for local junior players to learn from one of the game's most accomplished representatives.

A special thank you to Bryce Poisel and the team at Talentlockr for making this exciting opportunity possible for our club.

A few designs to pass the time 🙂

Next few weeks are going to be extremely busy ones and sadly my time management will be stretched to breaking point . I have a couple of big important team photo shoots to do whilst still working on some existing ones at home . I have planned a trip out to Oberon which is something I've aimed to do for the last few years but had to keep putting it off but this season I'm determined to make this happen 🙂 ( thermals are being sorted 🥶 ) . I'm pretty much full for the next month and apologise to anyone I have to say NO too during this time but I have to roam for a bit and spread my wings before the point end of the footy season begins 🏉

I took a squillion photos last week and it's hard to narrow it down but I love the desperation and elusiveness in this one . This young fella was a star on the day too
