‘En Arche’ is my latest work inspired by nature.
I consider myself blessed to live amongst nature. This work is a combination of acrylic paint on cotton, cotton thread, eco print and photo transfer.

I have wanted to incorporate sewing into my work for sometime now. It is something that makes me feel close to my mum as she was an avid sewer. My Janome sewing machine was gifted to me by my mum and dad for my 21st birthday. The incredible thing is it is still going strong 29 years later! I love creating with it now and knowing how happy mum would be to see me creating with the machine she brought me all those years ago. ♥️

Spent the final day of 2023 doing simple things that mean the most to me.. church, lunch with family, painting, friends over for dessert & watching fireworks, then ended the evening praying with my family for the year ahead.

Whatever your 2023 looked like may this New Year bring newness of life to your dreams, new hope, fresh vision, space to breath, to heal, new adventures, and plenty of ‘being’ not just ‘doing’. You are worth it ♥️

I don’t know about you, but my bedroom is my sanctuary. It’s the place that I retreat to after my day, where I can find peace and relaxation for my body and soul. I love to surround myself with things of beauty and things of meaning. The art I choose to surround myself with makes me feel connected. 🤍
