🎨 New painting The Fox & the Wolf in acrylic, on canvas paper

This piece explores the meeting of two archetypal instincts: the fox and the wolf.

The fox often symbolises cunning, adaptability, and strategic intelligence. The wolf carries raw instinct, appetite, and the power of the pack.

In Jungian terms, animals in imagery tend to represent instinctual forces within the psyche. When they appear together, it can signal an inner tension — not between good and evil, but between different survival strategies.

There’s also an Aesopic echo here: the fox and the wolf appear in fables not as moral opposites, but as contrasting modes of being — wit versus force.

This painting sits in that friction.
