The national acquisitive Sunshine Coast Art Prize is a dynamic visual arts award reflecting outstanding contemporary 2D arts practice in Australia so I'm very happy to be one of the 40 finalists.
My work from the Aqueous series serves as a testament to the fragile beauty and resilience of our oceans. It celebrates the profound bond between humanity and the vast expanse of water that cradles our planet. The simple but fundamental recognition of water as the source of life itself.

When the Queen passed aged 96yrs a tribute went up in Marrickville and only lasted one day. The original street stencil art of the Queen was sprayed yellow and framed by dripping red paint in the middle of the night described at the time "pointing to the contested nature of Australia’s history and the representative role the British monarchy played in the colonisation of First Nations people". I like it better with modifications!
