I recently visited the ‘MOTHER’ exhibition at NGV , Melbourne, and loved delving into everything 'Mother' , from the physical and emotional transition of matrescence, to the everyday realities of caregiving, carelessness and shame, and intergenerational-ness of things. The breadth of works on display ranging from ancient iconography to powerful contemporary video works have kept me engaged even after the visit. I highly recommend visiting it.

Wrapping up a wonderful conference.

While the research and presentations were phenomenal, the absolute highlight was the people! Leaving so inspired by the brilliant minds and amazing connections made this week.

Sufi Sama is a sacred spiritual practice of listening to connect with the divine. Historically kept within private mystical circles, this ritual is now brought to the global audience through structured cultural festivals, concerts, and staged performances.

From Nizamuddin Aulia's shrine, Hazrat Amir Khusro's poetry and composition has been incorporated with Bollywood flavours...yet the beauty of Qawwali never fails to evoke what is was meant to...however slight the notes.

I’m glad I took a trip to Canberra to experience this exhibition at .

It’s in its final weeks, and well worth the visit. The show brings together powerful works by women photographers whose practices challenge dominant narratives and expand the visual field of contemporary art, and addresses how lens-based practices intersect with questions of gender, identity, and representation.
