Congratulations to the Australian Opals who won the bronze at the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2022, with a 95-65 win over Canada.

The Opals played a total of 8 games over 10 days.

Congratulations to all the Opals players and coaching staff, and a massive shoutout to Lauren Jackson who scored 30 points in her final match for the Opals, giving her 73 points overall for the World Cup with an average of 9.1 ppg.

What an amazing week of women’s basketball, with 145,519 people attending across the 10 days of action – the largest attendance record for a Women’s Basketball World Cup in history.

A great couple of nights shooting for as they played two international friendly games against the Tall Blacks.

These games were part of both teams final preparations for all teams the 2019 World Cup to be contested in China.

A pleasant surprise today with one of the other Sydney Kings house photographers asking me if I saw the paper as he thought one of my shots had been used.

He was right, may not have been credited but was proud to see the Dailytelegraph.com.au had chosen to use my of Deng Deng.

A nice surprise today with the WNBL choosing one of my photos as the best photograph of the 2017/18 WNBL Season.
