I’ve been trying to capture this very unwelcome Grey Goshawk that doesn’t stick around for long for a while now! This is the first time after hearing all the commotion with magpies going crazy, I got to capture a brief landing before it heading off and attacked again!

The annual pilgrimage from McDermott Aviation Groups Bell 214 Biglifters callsigns Helitack 424 & 417 on their journey from Tasmania, back to base in the Sunny coast. What a show right in time for school holidays along the Southcoast of NSW, and I’m sure most heard them for minutes before seeing them!

*Edited* a third flyover saw Helitack 430 & Firebird 460 a TwinStar As355, incredibly low over Tuross Head! Quite the contingent from Tasmania’s longer fire season.

Westpac Lifesaver 23 Moruya, a Kawasaki Heavy Industries BK117 responded to Tuross this evening, with a potentially missing person from the beach.

With them circling for a good 15 minutes over all beaches, the entrance and the river itself with an incoming tide before returning to base, Hopefully all is well!
