As a CASA Remote Operator Certificate (ReOC) holder, Professional Drone Imagery Pty Ltd adheres to strict regulations that ensure the safety and legality of our operations. These include:
- Maintaining comprehensive safety management systems
- Conducting regular risk assessments for all operations
- Ensuring all pilots hold current Remote Pilot Licences (RePL)
- Complying with area-specific regulations and obtaining necessary approvals
- Adhering to flight restrictions and maintaining visual line of sight unless specifically authorised
- Keeping detailed flight logs and maintenance records
- Undergoing regular audits and inspections by CASA
Important Flight Restrictions & Approvals (allow up to 72 days for approvals, *CASA fees may apply):
(Only ReOC Operators can apply for these approvals. Flights with restrictions without approval have heavy fines, loss of licence and jail)
- Flights limited up to 120 metres (400ft) Above Ground Level - CASA approvals may be applied for above this height.
- Flights limited up to 30 metres radius of people/populous areas not involved in operations - CASA approvals may be applied for to fly within 30m radius of people.
- Flights limited up to 5.5km of controlled aerodromes or within 5.5km of non-controlled aerodromes if aircraft are operating - CASA approvals may be applied for.
- Flights Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) or Extended Visual Line of Sight (EVLOS) require CASA approval (allow up to 72 days for approvals)
- Flights at night require CASA approval (night/twilight is considered 20 minutes after sunrise and 20 minutes before sunset).
- Some local councils have their own regulations which is assessed prior to each flight *Council fees may apply. Our commitment to these regulations not only ensures legal compliance but also guarantees the highest standards of safety and professionalism for our clients.
