Today we got back to the Drummond Golf South East Tour with Glasshouse Mountains Junior Golf at Kilcoy Golf Club. It was good to be back after a long gap between events and loved catching up with some good mates. The golf was good & putter was hot which was nice to see as that’s usually the biggest struggle. Irons were good and getting off the tee was pretty good.
A few wayward tee shots left some tricky shots from the tree line but handled that well and got into good positions to finish the holes. A fun day was had and look forward to the next event in a few weeks.

What a fantastic weekend with baseball, birthday parties and a round of golf at the Bribie Island Golf Club on the Glasshouse Mountains Junior Golf. Today the swing looked solid and contact was good. Unfortunately the scorecard didn't reflect how well he hit the ball. As both a dad caddy and a golfer I know very well the challenge of escaping a bunker especially the old fried egg lie. The way he got out of that bunker was very impressive.
It was a great to have the old gang back together, these four boys have built a strong friendship over the years and a big thanks to Mike for capturing that photo of Mason and Keanu which perfectly shows the bonds we’ve formed. I'm looking forward to our next outing at Woodford in a few weeks Peta Slavin

Today the year of golf finished at the Cameron Smith Junior Classic held at Wantima Country Club and what a great day it was. The round went exceptionally well with everything falling into place. Standing on the last tee at just 2 over par was unreal. Drove the ball up the middle on the last and hit what we thought was a great approach shot. Once up on the green we found it had gone long and was left with a tough lie from behind the green. A chip shot from the rough didn’t go to plan making it tough to finish the hole. Finishing a great round with a 7 was unfortunate but still stoked with how the round played out. It was awesome to see the performance of the putter today which was on point. We were lucky to have Cameron Smith watching a few shots and Mason hit an impressive chip and putt while he was watching.

A special thanks to Gran and Poppy for coming out to cheer Mason on and glad you got to see him in good form.

A quick shout out to Adam Teale from Wolston Park Golf for all the effort he puts into working with the squad every Monday and a huge thank you to John from JC Golf Studio by johncollinsgolf for the continuous support throughout the year with Mason, you would have been truly impressed with his play today (swing path was 👌) Can’t believe you’ve been coaching him since he was 4. 😂

We really appreciate everyone’s support and it means a lot to Mason and truly motivates him. A big thank you to Coach Penny continuing to come and watch a lot of golf and our real team leader Peta Slavin for their love, support and counselling when required throughout the year.

We are extremely proud of Mason and excited to see how much he continues to grow and progress next year.

Last night we got to attend the presentation night for the Drummond Golf South East Tour with Glasshouse Mountains Junior Golf. Had a great afternoon / Night catching up with friends at Kooralbyn Golf Club who did an amazing job hosting the event. Mason received an award for making it in the top 10 for the best Gross scores throughout the year in a very tight top 10, some being seperated by a single shot. We are so proud of his efforts again this year and this is a great achievement for him. Mason was lucky to receive his award from Justice Bosio who has recently turned professional and once competed as a junior on this tour.
Unfortunately we missed the final round of the parent / Child tour today due to a cold, so we now start getting ready to finish the year off at the Cameron Smith Classic in a couple of weeks at Wantima Golf Club.

Today we headed to Woodford Golf Club for the final round of the Drummond Golf South East tour with Glasshouse Mountains Junior Golf ⛳️ Not many tournaments of late but the training has been getting done and really showing the hard work being put in 👌 A nice 37 degrees 🌞 was not an ideal start but fought through the heat and finshed with a 47. The card read a bit higher than we aimed for but it was a very well hit 47. Tee to green was excellent ✊ with a very consistent ball strike hitting them long and shaping them as needed 🏌🏾‍♂️once on the green unfortunately the putter didn’t want to play nice 🙄 once again with a number of putts just not sinking and something that definitely is going to be getting worked on 💪🏻.
It’s been a great year on the tour this year, we have met more awesome people and witnessed some great golf. We look forward to attending the presentation night in a few weeks down at Kooralbyn Golf Club.
Thanks to Gary and the whole team for a great run and fun year, you guys are doing great things 👍

Next stop is the final round of the parent / Child tour and then finish the year at the Cameron Smith Classic, for now it’s off to the practice green 🙄

Finally a good day on the putter at Laidley Golf Club .
A promotion in the team with Coach Penny on a test and trail for the caddy position 🥰. Next round we head to the beautiful Bribie Island Golf Club where we will have a crack in the Short Course Championships but first get through the week and wait for Happy Gilmore 2 😂.
