I loved creating these grids from sessions I have had the pleasure to photograph. It has proven to me even more the propaganda I’m no longer falling for as a photographer…
When you start any business, especially one of creative nature there are so many ‘experts’ out there. So much valuable knowledge and suggestions. But one of the biggest propaganda told to photographers is that you need to ‘niche’ down, you need have a cookie cutter edit that you apply to all sessions. I’m here to say I’m no longer here for it. Since the revival of my business I have worked hard on going to every session with my clients unique session in mind. I don’t try to make all my sessions look the same any more. My priority is to stay to true to the colours and tones within each moment. Editing to complement the location and the connection. Yes, I work on trying to have dreamy skin tones, deep blacks and rich colours. Hopefully those things will make me recognisable as the photographer at first glance but if not I’m kinda okay with that too, I want to spark curiosity in those who see my work. I want to attract clients that truly trust me to capture and edit their moments with only them in mind and not the session I did last week. That’s the propaganda I am here for, connection and creativity going uniquely hand in hand together.
