It is just so funny to watch this little guy sitting on a log and quietly enjoying his food! It’s actually crazy to think that besides us humans, these Japanese macaques live further north than any other primate on the planet. They are super famous for hanging out in hot tubs and hot springs during freezing winters, but just watching him sit here peacefully munching away is honestly the cutest thing ever. Seeing a marabou stork glide right past you with that massive wingspan is just wild. It’s crazy to think that even though they are one of the biggest birds out there, their leg and toe bones are completely hollow just to keep them light enough to fly! Catching the sunset over the lake right in front of the Izba building is just something else. Looking at that massive wooden architecture with the old seaplane floating by the deck... it literally feels like you just stepped straight into a cozy winter fairytale.
